Q. I have an arms control question. What’s the condition in the President’s arm? Is his control any better than it was a year ago at this time? (Laughter.) And can we expect to see him at some opening day or some early season game throwing out the first pitch?

ARI FLEISCHER: Well, I would like to report for the record that the Yankees will be in Baltimore next Monday. The briefing will probably be early that day, as the Yankees prepare to win on opening day. I also regret to inform you that I’m not aware of any opening day plans for the President to participate. It may await T-ball on the South Lawn.

ARI FLEISCHER: …John Roberts, did you have a question earlier?

Q. Did I have a question on –

MR. FLEISCHER: Anything.

Q. Did I look like I had a question? (Laughter.)

MR. FLEISCHER: Are you stumped?

Q. No. Some of us need to ask questions, and others already have the information. Today, I already have the information. (Laughter.)

MR. FLEISCHER: That’s very, very impressive. Major Garrett?

Q. Ari, that’s what we say when we know we’re not getting on the air. (Laughter.)

Q. Ooooh!

Q. No, that’s what we say when we had the story five weeks ago.

Q. Whatever story it is.

MR. FLEISCHER: Please, carry on. (Laughter.)

Q. Ari, we saw Bono coming in. What’s his role in the aid announcement.

ARI FLEISCHER: Well, Bono has been a real proponent around the world of helping developing nations to achieve growth. The President’s staff spoke with Bono in the formulation of the policy the President is making today. He’s meeting with the President. And I think he’s actually going over to the speech with the President.

Q. They don’t just think it’s cool to hang out with him?

MR. FLEISCHER: You, too, think that? (Laughter.)
