Q. Do you exercise?
ARI FLEISCHER: Helen, you exercise me every day. (Laughter.)
On Saturday, the President is going to probably lead White House staffers in a three-mile run at a local facility. And we have — already have some 400 White House staffers. It instantly sold out. Instead of paying a registration fee, the staff was asked to donate their time to local charities. And then there will be a tee-ball game on the South Lawn on Sunday. But in a serious way, it is a fact that people do take cues from the President about a number of areas, and health and exercise is one of them. The President hopes in some small way to get Americans to change their behavior or increase their exercise or start exercising.
Q. Will there be health screening for reporters? (Laughter.)

Q. I haven’t asked you about the content of the proposed remarks –
SCOTT McCLELLAN: No, this is a great end around, it’s a clever approach, and I appreciate that. (Laughter.) But I’m just not going there.
Q. Sometimes you give an answer in the afternoon briefing that you don’t in the morning.
MR. McCLELLAN: It’s all consistent, Helen, all consistent. (Laughter.)

ARI FLEISCHER: Good afternoon. Let me give you a report on the President’s day, and I have a phone call to read to you and then an announcement I want to make about an initiative the President is going to launch next week concerning physical fitness in our country.
The President had his usual round of briefings –
Q. Press fitness — (laughter.)
MR. FLEISCHER: Oh, believe me, there’s a press section of it. (Laughter.)
Q. How about you?
MR. FLEISCHER: Me? You guys run me around enough. (Laughter.)

Q. Where’s the press –
ARI FLEISCHER: Well, we’re trying to figure out if the press wants to run or chase or cover. (Laughter.) We will give you any number of options and see which categories you’d like to be in. Which of those is it, Jean?
Q. I dig.
MR. FLEISCHER: You dig? Oh, you dig. Yes, you do. (Laughter.) Let the digging begin.

Q. If I can follow –
ARI FLEISCHER: You only get two. We have many people in the back rows who are telling me they don’t get enough questions.
Q. And the side.
MR. FLEISCHER: Well, we know about the side. (Laughter.)

ARI FLEISCHER: I can assure you he has noted their victory and has already remarked on it — I think it was 3-2, if I recall — versus Portugal. So –
Q. What did he say?
MR. FLEISCHER: The President talked about how good the United States is at sports.
Q. Will he call –
Q. He was awake — did he watch the game?
MR. FLEISCHER: I don’t think he watched the game.
Q. Will he call –
Q. Did he yell, “Goalll!” (Laughter.)
